Women in Meat Industry Awards 2020 to broadcast on Wednesday

This year’s much anticipated Women in Meat Industry Awards ceremony is just a few days away, with the online results announced live online at 4.30pm on Wednesday 2nd December.

The annual initiative recognises the immense contribution from women across the British meat industry by crowning ten category winners out of 51 finalists. Over 9,000 votes were received this year.

Those wishing to view the ceremony can pre-register now for a reminder email, including a direct link, which is sent out on the day via the website Women In Meat Awards

A full breakdown of all the finalists and categories is also listed on the Women in Meat Industry Awards website.

In addition, viewers can follow what is happening via social media, using @WIMIAwards on Twitter or search ‘Women in Meat Industry Awards’ on LinkedIn. The pages will act as a hub for further reaction from everyone involved in the ceremony and will also be ‘live-tweeting’ the results as they come in.

The ceremony will be co-presented by former UK sprinter and Olympic medallist, Katharine Merry, along with publisher of Meat Management magazine, Graham Yandell, who said: “We are very excited to bring a truly important event to the widest possible audience in a brand-new online format this year. We have adapted the presentations due to the impact of Covid-19, but it will still honour the fantastic talent we have in the meat sector and I am sure will be very enjoyable too.â€
