Higginsons of Grange Staff Member Celebrates 30 Years with Firm

We are celebrating a milestone here at Higginsons this month. Our longest serving current member of Staff (except for the two Higginsons of course!) is celebrating 30 years in the business.  Mark Butler, a Senior Butcher at Higginsons joined the company back in February 1987 as an apprentice Butcher, and has worked up through the ranks. His experience and knowledge of the trade is a rare thing these days, in an era of dying traditional trades. The business greatly values him and owner Stuart Higginson commented `Marks loyalty, honesty, reliability and willingness to help is an example to us all. Having been an integral member of staff for over 30 years, Mark is more than just an employee. We have always looked upon him as part of the family and a good friend. He has played a major part in the success of our business, and we hope he will be with us for many more years to come.` 

Having recently scooped three gold awards at a national butcher`s competition in London run by the Q Guild of Independent Butchers, we know that such success is never down to one person alone, but a team.  `For us as a family business, our supportive team of employees have allowed us to drive the business forward and continue to push the benchmark for quality in our industry` said Stuart.
