Higginsons nominated as finalist in Cumbria Life Food and Drink Awards
Every year the awards celebrate and promote the fantastic array of talented people that work within the food, catering and hospitality sector in Cumbria.
As previous winners of the reader-nominated `Special Award for Lifetime Achievement’ in 2016, this year Higginson’s have been selected as a finalist in the ‘Specialist Retailer/Supplier’ category by an independent panel of judges.

Higginsons are well known across Cumbria and beyond for their legendary hand-made Pies, speciality local meats, award-winning Sausages and home-cured Bacon.
The winners will be announced during the awards ceremony on Thursday 21st March at Kendal College, by food and drink broadcaster Nigel Barden.
Higginsons was founded by Stuart and Pauline in summer of 1983 in their home town, and in the years since, it has evolved into one of the most successful independent Butchers in the country, winning countless industry awards.
In addition to selling the regions finest fresh speciality meats, Higginsons also operates a Deli selling legendary handmade Pies of over 25 varieties, and a Takeout shop servicing the daytime fresh food market.
