Q Guild website transformed with inter-active upgrade

The Butchers Q Guild website has been given a complete makeover to better serve both its 120 members UK-wide and the general public at large.

Inter-activity is at the heart of the new-look www.qguild.co.uk website, which represents a further step in the much anticipated introduction of the Q Guild`s new, ground-breaking digital platform into members` shops towards the end of this year

`Not only has it been transformed with a fresher look and feel, but the site has also been purpose-designed to be more responsive, so it fits to the screen size of the device that any of our members are using.

`The all-round user experience has also been improved to make information, recipes, and - most importantly, Q Guild butchers themselves - easier to find and interact with,` explained Q Guild manager Gordon Newlands.

Each butcher member now has their own page on the website containing information, contact details, a map, links to their own website and social media pages, along with space for a news story. They also have a facility update their own pages as and when required, as well as upload relevant logos and images.

Another innovation is a specific section open to The Q Guild Member Club only, packed with recipes for butchers to pass on to their customers, complemented by promotional assets such as images and videos, industry news and more.

`This will allow our members to produce Q Guild branded promotional material quickly and easily,` noted Gordon.

The Q Guild Product of the Month initiative, which is going down great guns among the membership, also features prominently, as do Butcher of the Month features, which target the general public.

The updated website has been designed by Prototype Creative in Rotherham, who also design other Q Guild promotional material, including its members` magazine, The Guildsman.

Q Guild national chairman, Alnwick butcher Mark Turnbull said: `We`re continuing to move with the times. The new website is both invigorating and stimulating, and, together with our social media presence and regular activity, should do much to promote the Q Guild both near and far.

`This represents another step in bringing our much anticipated new Q Guild digital platform into members` shops. I believe it to be one of the most exciting initiatives in the history of the Q Guild, so huge is its potential.

`It will be an industry first in the UK when it arrives later this year. The digital marketing platform will give member shops an arsenal of powerful electronic marketing and communication tools that will allow them to compete at the very highest level.`
